Friends, have you ever longed to live a victorious life? We all have! But to live victoriously, we need to base our lives on truth. And how do we find that truth?
The Bible tells us that faith comes from hearing the good news about Christ (Romans 10:17). That means what we listen to matters a great deal. If you’re hoping for a breakthrough in your life, pay attention to the messages you’re filling your ears with. Are they filled with the hope and love of Jesus, or are they filled with negativity and condemnation?
The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:27-29 is a great example of this. According to the religious law of her day, she was considered unclean and unworthy. If she had only heard the teachings of the Pharisees, she never would have believed she could be healed. But she heard something different! She heard about Jesus, a man full of love and compassion. And because she believed the good news she heard, she reached out to touch him, and was instantly healed!
What about you? What kind of messages are you hearing about Jesus? Is He being portrayed as harsh, demanding, and unforgiving? Or are you hearing the true gospel message of His love, grace, and mercy?
The truth is, the gospel of Jesus Christ is always good news! It brings us hope and faith, no matter what we’re facing.
