Has God’s forgiveness ever felt out of reach?

- God’s forgiveness is complete and available to all. No sin is too big for His grace.
- We are declared righteous by faith in Jesus Christ. This is a gift, not something we earn.
- Embrace God’s love and experience the freedom that comes from forgiveness.
Many of us have wrestled with this question. We know God is loving, but can He truly forgive someone like me, with all the mistakes I’ve made?
This is a story that brings me great joy. After a sermon on God’s love, a young man who had been involved in gangs and prison approached me, wanting to receive Jesus. He tearfully asked, “Can God truly forgive me?”
With all certainty, I told him, “The moment you received Jesus, your Heavenly Father embraced you as His beloved child. All your sins are forgiven.”
My friends, no matter your burdens, God’s love and forgiveness are boundless. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 1:18: “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool” (NLT).
Imagine the dazzling white of fresh snow. That’s how God sees you, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
But, some may ask, “What have I done to deserve this?”
Consider the prodigal son (Luke 15:22). He didn’t deserve the father’s love, the grand feast, or the beautiful robe.
In the same way, the “robe of righteousness” symbolizes God’s gift to us. We can’t earn it; it’s given freely out of His immense grace.
Our part is to believe and receive this gift. With faith in Jesus, we are empowered to overcome any challenge.
