Finding Your “Right Place, Right Time” Moment with God

Feeling lost and like you just can’t catch a break? Have you ever tried everything you can, only to see things fall apart?

Today, I want to share with you a powerful concept from the Bible that can change your perspective: qarah. This Hebrew word, found in Genesis 24:12, describes God-ordained happenings. It’s that feeling of being in the “right place at the right time,” with a sense of things just falling into place.

Remember the story of Abraham sending his servant to find a wife for Isaac? The servant didn’t know who the right one would be, so he prayed for qarah, for success in finding the perfect bride. This is a beautiful example of how we can ask God for His guidance in our own lives.

Just like the servant, we need a posture of humility. We can’t always control everything, but God can! By staying humble and relying on Him for wisdom, He can lead us and protect us in ways we can’t even imagine.

Prayer: The Doorway to Humility

Prayer is the key to achieving this humility. When we pray, we’re essentially saying, “Father, I can’t do this alone. You can.” It’s about acknowledging our limitations and trusting in God’s infinite power.

This story reminds me of a woman from our church who, while on a trip, missed breakfast due to her quiet time with the Lord. That very morning, a horrific attack happened in the hotel restaurant! Her time with God, a humble prioritizing of her faith, turned out to be a supernatural leading that kept her safe.

Just like Psalm 91, when we pray for protection, we’re acknowledging our vulnerability and asking God to be our refuge and stronghold. We’re asking Him to guide us to the right place, with the right people, at the right time.
