Hebrews 11:7, MSG
Today’s passage speaks volumes to the yearnings in many of our hearts. We dream of taking that big leap – starting a business, pursuing a new degree, making a fresh start in a different city. But let’s be honest, fear can be a formidable foe. We crave security, a roadmap to success with clear mile markers. We bombard ourselves with questions: “Where will the money come from? How long will it take to achieve my goals? Will I have the support I need?”
Here’s the beautiful truth that can set our hearts free: God doesn’t operate on a need-to-know basis. He doesn’t hand us a detailed blueprint for our entire lives. If we had all the answers upfront, if the path were meticulously mapped out, well, there wouldn’t be much room for faith, would there?

Think about Noah. God called him to build an ark, a monumental undertaking with no clear instructions on materials, timing, or even the purpose! Noah didn’t have all the details, but he chose to trust God’s plan. He took that courageous first step, one hammer blow at a time. And as he did, God revealed the next step. Doors opened, resources materialized, and the right people came alongside him.
The same is true for us. God may not give us all the details upfront, but He promises to lead us on a path that fulfills His purpose for our lives. He asks for our trust, for us to step into the unknown with courage, knowing He will guide us.

So, how do you identify your first step? Maybe it’s a conversation with a trusted mentor, researching educational opportunities, or simply starting a prayer journal to deepen your communication with God. Take that leap of faith, my friends, and trust that God will reveal the next one.
But where do you go from here? How do you sustain that faith as you navigate the unknown?
