In the story of the woman with the issue of blood, we see a woman who had been suffering for twelve long years. She must have felt so unworthy of healing, yet she desperately desired it.
The Bible tells us that this woman “reached out and touched the hem of [Jesus’] garment” (Mark 5:27). Some might say she stole her healing, but Jesus’ reaction is beautiful. He wasn’t upset! Instead, “He turned around, and when he saw her, he said, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your affliction'” (Mark 5:34).
