  • True transformation comes from a heart-felt experience of God’s love, not just intellectual knowledge.
  • The Bible emphasizes epignosis – a deep, personal understanding of God gained through intimacy.
  • Gideon’s story illustrates the power of believing God’s promises and overcoming fear.
  • Embrace your identity as a conqueror in Christ and experience the strength and peace that come from God’s love.

My dear friends, simply knowing that God loves everyone intellectually isn’t enough. To experience a positive and profound change in your life, you need a personal encounter with Jesus and his grace. You need to truly feel it in your heart that He loves you.

The Bible tells us in 2 Peter 1:2: “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” The word for “knowledge” here is the Greek epignosis, which means a deep, personal understanding of God, rather than just knowing facts about Him. It’s a knowledge that comes from an intimate relationship with God.

Hearing from God can change your life

Imagine hearing and truly believing that the Lord is for you and loves you. You’ll experience his peace and favor even in the midst of challenges. His strength, wisdom, and provision will become tangible in your life.

Think about Gideon from the book of Judges. He saw himself as weak and insignificant, hiding from the Midianites. But after hearing the encouraging words from the Angel of the Lord: “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor! . . . Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” (Judges 6:12, 16), he overcame his insecurities and fears and became Israel’s savior. When Gideon understood how God saw him, he believed that God was with him and for him, and that’s when he fulfilled his destiny!

God’s love empowers you

If you feel powerless like Gideon, here’s what I want you to know: Jesus’ sacrifice guarantees that nothing can separate you from God’s love (Romans 8:37-39). You are already a conqueror in Christ! When you believe in God’s love for you and understand your identity in Christ, you will gain strength and see God working through you. Romans 8:31 asks: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Knowing God’s love empowers you to win life’s battles and live the incredible destiny He has prepared for you!
