Isaiah 31:1, TLB
  • The power of faith: Faith in God can provide a strong foundation in a world that often feels chaotic and unpredictable.
  • God’s unchanging nature: God remains constant, offering unwavering love, support, and guidance.
  • Seeking solace in prayer: Prayer is a powerful tool for connecting with God and finding peace.
  • Trusting in God’s plan: Trusting in God’s plan can help you find meaning and purpose, even in difficult circumstances.
  • Finding hope in the midst of despair: Even in the darkest moments, there is always hope to be found in God.

Life can throw some serious curveballs, can’t it? Remember back to 2020. Despite all our incredible technology and medical advancements, a tiny virus brought the world to a standstill. It’s a humbling reminder that we don’t have as much control over our lives as we might think.

Our finances can vanish overnight. A dream job can turn sour. Even our health, something we often take for granted, can change in an instant. So, where can we find true security and stability in a world that feels so uncertain?

The Bible offers a powerful answer: turn to God. He is the one constant in our ever-changing world. As the book of Hebrews 13:8 tells us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” He is the source of our strength, our creativity, our resources, and our wisdom.

Think about it this way: the good things in our lives – our jobs, our income – they are all gifts from God. They are blessings He uses to provide for us. But here’s the key: these blessings shouldn’t become our source of security. Our source is God Himself.

Imagine a beautiful, flowing river. The water sustains life, provides for our needs. But where does the water come from? It comes from a hidden source, perhaps a deep spring high in the mountains. Our jobs, our finances – they are like the river. They are blessings that sustain us, but the true source, the hidden spring, is God.

God is looking for people who turn their hearts towards Him. Make Him your priority, seek a relationship with Him, and everything else will fall into place. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”

You don’t have to chase after blessings – chase after God, and the blessings will follow.

Let’s take a moment to reflect and pray.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you feeling a little lost and uncertain. The world feels like it’s spinning out of control, and we don’t know where to turn.

Help us to remember that You are our constant source of strength and security. You are the rock that doesn’t crumble, the light that never dims. Help us to put our trust in You, not in fleeting things of this world.

Thank you for Your love and Your unwavering presence.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
