“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”

Psalm 91:15
  1. Run to God: Seek His presence and guidance in times of distress.
  2. Pray without ceasing: Pour out your heart to God in prayer, trusting in His love and power.
  3. Surrender your worries: Place your burdens into God’s hands, knowing He cares for you.
  4. Focus on God’s promises: Meditate on His words of comfort and assurance.
  5. Find community: Connect with others who share your faith for support and encouragement.

Today, I want to share a message of hope and comfort: God’s unwavering promise to be there for us in every storm.

The passage reminds us that God doesn’t want us to face our troubles alone. He wants us to run to Him, to come with open hearts and burdens laid bare. And the best part? He doesn’t offer a hesitant “maybe” or a vague “possibly.” He promises a resounding “will”. He will answer!

But God’s love goes beyond simply answering our calls. He goes on record, etching His promise in eternity: “I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him” (Psalm 91:15). This isn’t just empty scripture; it’s a testament to His unwavering commitment to us.

So, where does this unshakeable confidence in His answer come from? It comes from the incredible sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. Remember when Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46)? In that moment, He took on the crushing weight of abandonment, a burden He carried so we never have to experience it.

What a Savior!

Doesn’t that fill you with a sense of overwhelming love and security? God has made receiving His promises remarkably simple. All we need to do is call upon Him.

Here’s a personal tip that I’ve found incredibly helpful: Whenever worry or fear starts to grip me, I find solace in prayer. I tell the Lord, “Lord, I’m feeling anxious about [situation]. But I choose to place it in Your loving, nail-pierced hands right now.” By surrendering my worries to Him, I find His peace washing over me, washing away the anxieties that threatened to consume me.

Are you struggling with fear, anxiety, or panic attacks? Don’t let the enemy of peace win! Call out to Jesus Christ! He wants you to “cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). You are not a sheep without a shepherd; you are His beloved child, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Whether it’s a physical symptom that’s causing you concern, a financial challenge that weighs heavily on your mind, or a family situation that feels overwhelming – don’t carry those burdens alone! Call upon Jesus and allow His peace to supernaturally guard your heart in every area that troubles you (Philippians 4:6-7).

Remember, friends, God is always waiting with open arms. He is your refuge, your strength, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Run to Him today, and experience the comfort and peace He longs to give you.
