So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Zechariah 4:6, NKJV
- Trust in God’s promises: Even when things seem impossible, hold onto God’s word.
- Sing praise and worship: Express your faith through music, even in difficult times.
- Declare God’s goodness: Speak positively about God’s character and His plans for your life.
- Seek support from others: Connect with people who can encourage and uplift you.
- Be patient and persistent: Trust that God is working things out for your good, even if it takes time.

Today, I want to take a dive into a powerful story found in Numbers 21. Imagine this: the Israelites are on their long journey to the Promised Land, but they’re smack dab in the middle of a scorching desert. Water is scarce, morale is low, and frankly, things seem pretty bleak.
Now, picture this – they come across an old, dry well. No water in sight, just cracked earth and disappointment. But here’s the amazing part: the Bible tells us the people sang. They sang, “Spring up, O well!” even though there was no logical reason to believe water would magically appear.
This, my friends, is the power of faith! The Israelites knew, deep down, that God was with them. They chose to trust in His promises, even when their senses were screaming otherwise. This incredible act of faith is a reminder to us all: we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Here’s the deal: life throws curveballs. We face situations that feel like dry wells – finances might be tight, relationships might be strained, or a dream might seem impossibly far away. In those moments, it’s easy to focus on the problem and get discouraged.
But here’s the good news – God isn’t limited by what we see. He’s limited by what we believe. Just like the Israelites, we need to break into song – not a song of despair, but a song of faith! Declare the promises of God over your situation: “Spring up healing, spring up freedom, spring up abundance, spring up victory!”
Let me tell you, friends, when we choose faith over fear and declare God’s promises, He shows up in ways we can’t even imagine. So, the next time you feel like you’re in a desert, remember the Israelites and their song. Sing out your faith, trust in God’s mighty power, and watch Him bring abundance to the driest places of your life.
Remember, God is always with you, and His promises are true! Keep the faith, and keep singing!
